every other vacation of my college career, i was so excited to come back to the bost. i mean,there is so much to do here between great friends, great food, great places and great driving. however, this little break from college was not so much desired. i totally got in to the swing of things as the end of the year and did not want to leave. hence, going back for summer classes and possibly staying all summer for a job. i thought i could handle a week in the bost. but let me tell you, its been pretty painful. there is nothing to do. and i know i could just turn on the switch and become proactive crafty jelena but i have absolutely no desire. its 40 degrees out, every one who goes to school in boston is stressing out because of exams and every one who doesnt go to school in boston is stressing out because of exams elsewhere. why did i not stress out about exams? oh thats right, because i wanted my gpa to fall by .4 points. no big deal, really.
so two more days here and then i am back in philly. not sure what classes i am taking. but i am fucking pumped. tons of cool people. massive room in the axo house. hopefully some glorious sun. bike shopping. good times. im pumped for summer.

coming home is awesome. that is, coming home to boston is. coming home to parents is not. my good friend from penn came up to boston with me for fall break and we had such a fun time roaming around newbs, harv sq, shopping, sleeping, getting some work done. but i cannot stand my parents. ahh. i honestly dont know what to do with myself. my mom freaked out on me about how she hasnt seen me for five minutes and my dad did his what are you going to do with your life rant. AWESOME! gotta love it. really, nothing changes. ever.

havnet update in forever
omg, i love my friends. i just went to charley's with hannah, her friend sarah (totally cool and interesting girl), scott, ben, ame, jesse, and simpson. its so nice to be back and with everyone.im sure things are different and everysone matured and blah blah but honestly, i feel like its the good ole days. fuck that. its the good days. they all still quote silly movies and random people and get in fights and go out to dinner and cruise around and ahhh lifey life. also, talking to them made me SO excited to go to college. bis jetzt (That phrase KEEPS on popping into my mind. it means until now) i have been a lil wierded out by college and didnt want to go through the process of making friends and being in a new environment. but now i am so pumped. ben made a good point-everyone is new. everyone is so excited. you jsut get to meet new ppl all the time. and living in a dorm and being at college is like summer camp with homework. i am so excited! there is so much i want to do and learn and see and try and meet. in terms of academics, i am really into health and societies, international relations and development, and some other things. ahhh. i cant wait. yay!

wow i left germz yesterday. i essentially had 4 rounds of crying and saying good bye as i peaced out and left my friends and family and school. ahh. i thought it was going to suck suck suck to leave. and it did till i got to belgrade. yesteray also wasnt that good but today has been fun with my family and wakling around teh city. i am going to stop wasting my time in the itnernet cafe and walk around my city. peace

berlin was the time of my life. i just spent 5 days with the entire CB group (minus camille and hannah). All 52 of us. This was our "End of Stay Seminar." That means we would be meeting for the last time before we fly out and would be preparing us for our final month in Germany and our return to the States. Because we are here on a government scholarship sponsered by US Congress and German Bundestag, we were treated to an amazing introduction into the functions of the German government. We met all the other Scholarship students who were here with other programs and organizations. All together, we were 380 people! We all toured the Bundestag (Capital Building) together, listened in on a congress meeting (where we saw Angela Merkel, the head of CDU and the woman who will be running against Schroder, the current Chancler.), meet in a group and were spoken to by government officials, went to the building were the cabinet meets, and ate at a presidential grill out! My favorite moment of the government day was hearing the speeches of each organization's representative. One guy made a film of his entire year. I had tears in my eyes as I watched it because everything it was about applied to my life. Corinna, our rep, made an amazing speech about how we are ready to change the world. One guy did a speech in the dialect of the area where I live.
We spent the rest of the week doing exchange student workshops and exploring the amazing metropolitan of berlin. What a cool city. It is filled with art, theater, government, students, flea markets, museums, history, old pieces of the berlin wall, extremes colliding, turks, kurds, everything. It is such a motley. I think it is my favorite city. We had girl nights out, drinking cocktails. We went dancing at KulturHaus and got up on the tables. We salsed infront of a kiosk blasting latin american music. We girl talked til we couldnt anymore. We loved. We lived. We laugh. Ah. It was amazing.

Music Festivals are the best thing EVER created. EVER! God really hit a home run when he figured that out. So I just spent 3 days at Rock Im Park. I spent those lovely three days with Jona (mein Held), Flo (my freundin), Korbi (the Klopapier provider) and Philip (Huhnjäger... Chicken hunter... chic hunter... girl hunter). We road tripped it down to Nurnberg on Freitag morgen and set up our shit. Oh man I LOVED IT! Check out what we saw over the course of the three days----

GREEEN DAYY (i was never a HUGE green day fan but i thought also hallo, ich bin auf rock im park und habe die moglichkeit green day zu sehen. AUF GEHTS! jona and i went crazy. they are soo redic good live. unbelievable. they took 3 ppl from the audience to play guitar, bass, and drums for a song and then gave the guy who played the guitar the guitar. so hot. and the second to last song was we are the champions and everybody (EVERYBODY =like 35 ppl) sang along. ahhh.
R.E.M. (auch total good. rem live is what i imagine u2 with a lil touch of rolling stones live would be like. the lead singer can shake his bon bons like nobodys business. holy fucko. and the put a man on the moon and we lost our religion. ahh)

Ok the highlights/lowlights/amazinglights:
1) Jona and I had a lil stress before hand but we totally clicked and refound our love. we saw a guy with a "hey ho, lets go" shirt so that wasour phrase of for the weekend.
2) stress with flo. we had just been together way too often in too short a time period. but its all locker now.
3) Fettes brot. period. but also them covering the ghost busters song. so geil
4) 3 crepes a day
5) i actually stayed totally unalcoholic this weekend. but i missed bier.
6) jumpin up and down
7) the fact that the weekend cost me only 50 euro instead of like 170 like everyone.... i got the tickets as a bday present from my hostrenties
8) finally getting over my kissing in public fear. see the way it works in germany is teh PDA is the king. couples just cant hold themselves back. in the beginnign of flo and jel i would hardly hold hands with him. but now i can give him a kiss on the lips in front of other ppl. i think he is proud of me
9) Totally fall in love with music that i never liked before. and realizing that rock concerts are the shit. shaking hips is fun but just jumping up and down and waving your arms in the arm is just as hot

k12 is fertig mit abi. the grades are out. no going back.
awesome bday present from the boys: this saturday we are going hiking in these funky caves in Fränkische Schweiz and then rodelbahning (fuck whats its called in english. the sport that the jamaicans in cool runnings do. but in summer) and dining at one of bamberg's find biergartens. cant wait
we got abi ball tickets heute! i need an ball dress! cant wait to get dressed up!

oh my god i am going to die. the last 24 hours have been RIDICCCULLLOUSSS! k13 finished abi yesterday and we hopped on the discobus to wurzburg. hollly fuck. playing freeman here with the boys and carmen and then walking over to TG and then getting on a double decker bus with the 13th grade and drinking ourselves to pieces. aber ich nicht. and dancing over this big block things for 4 hours. and eating putensteak. and being cute with flo. and taking care of jona. and showering. an dtwo hours of sleep. and 5 hours of shit school. and waking flo up when i got home bc u slept in my bed. and eatin brunch with my boys. and sleep 4 hours this afternoon. and going to a biergarten and somehow getting two schnitzles (that were each the size of a football) with meat sauce on top and spaghetti. and wantitng to throw up after finishing only a quarter of it. and loving my host fmaily. and slapping jaki on his ass and pushing in his blader til he almost peed in his pants. and hugging my host mom. and talking about how drunk everyone was last night with the hostrents. and ahhh. Hey Hey Party People-
I am chilling in Casa Liman on Windthorststrasse in Celle, Niedersachsen! Alex is sitting right next to me and the fun is just starting up! We saw Björn yesterday-- Dylan Rauschenburger's old host brother. We also went bowling! My first time bowling in like a year. Kinda crazy. I started out decent but then i lost, badly.
